Bio
I have worked in data oriented specialities since 2016 and currently work for the NHS Business Services Authority as a Senior Quality and Information Analyst. Prior to this I have worked as a Business Intelligence developer for a housing organisation and as an analyst working for the Ambulance Service. I work with complex data and am adept at functional report development and design, working with data warehouse structures, and generally love problem solving. I am highly skilled in reporting tools (notably Power BI), but also have strong SQL and associated data structuring skills. These tools and skills help me to drive business direction and insights.
Prior to starting my career outside of academia, I completed a PhD at Bangor University (Experimental and Cognitive Psychology) under the supervision of Dr. Paloma Mari-Beffa, and worked to increase understanding of verbalisations in cognitive control and task-switching. Following this I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of York with Prof. Steven Tipper on an ESRC funded project entitled 'Visuomotor states of an observer influence person perception: The critical role of emotion'.
