Bio

Alex Kirkham currently works for Believe Housing as a Business Intelligence developer. He works with complex data covering all aspects of the business. He predominantly works with T-SQL, Power BI, and Wherescape tools to help drive business direction through the development of functional reporting and underlying data warehouse structures.

Prior to starting his career outside of academia, he completed a PhD at Bangor University (Experimental and Cognitive Psychology) under the supervision of Dr. Paloma Mari-Beffa, and worked to increase understanding of verbalisations in cognitive control and task-switching. Following this he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of York with Prof. Steven Tipper on an ESRC funded project entitled 'Visuomotor states of an observer influence person perception: The critical role of emotion'.
